BRB AND WUAKI.TV SIGN ACCORD TO OFFER CARTOON MOVIES ON-LINE VIA TELEVISION
Wuaki.tv, the firm that puts video-clubs on television, and BRB Internacional, Spain’s leading production, distribution and licensing company for high-quality content, have signed a collaboration agreement to offer viewers the finest animated feature-length films and series. So, such cartoon classics as David, The Gnome and Around the World with Willy Fog are now available, starting at just 99 euro cents.
In this way Wuaki.tv is making a commitment to the old cartoons and an ample catalogue of family-oriented movies. With this in mind, Carlos Biern, Executive Vice-president of BRB Internacional, said, “we are thrilled to join Wuaki.tv and excited that family viewers will be able to enjoy our catalogue together with the latest big-screen premieres, just by clicking on their TV’s remote-control, anywhere, any time.” For his part, Jacinto Roca, CEO of Wuaki.tv, points out that, “this brings together the great classics of Spanish animation and the newest Hollywood premieres to offer a service of family leisure that is both convenient and readily available.”
The system allows viewers to manage their own movie sessions from the sofa in their living room, with no complications and with maximum ease and comfort. Besides the finest BRB cartoon series, Wuaki.tv users will also be able to enjoy the best of Made in Hollywood and the latest of Spanish cinema. To protect minors, the service has a parental control mechanism that configures which movies may be seen as a function of the age ratings of the film in question: This means that if the user has determined that audiovisual products that carry an official rating “Not Recommended for Viewers Under the Age of 18” are not appropriate, said material cannot be reproduced on the television during the parent’s absence.
